This amazing estate was built in 1969 by an Asheville doctor and his wife. Local legend has it that Elvis, yes that one, tried to buy the property in the early 70's but was turned down. Good to know
You have the entire mountain. There are two log cabins you will pass on the way up. The driveway is about 1.5 miles. We regularly have delivery vehicles, front wheel drive sedans, and just about any vehicle you can imagine come up the drive. While it is gravel, it is a gradual incline and pretty easy going. You are minutes (10 - 15) from Asheville, Sierra Nevada Brewery, The Airport, and many other amenities. HOWEVER, as there is no land developed around the property you are in a natural environment. There are bears and other wildlife that you may encounter. We will provide information to make sure you're wildlife wise but please remember that you're in a wilderness area tucked right in the middle of a metro area. The property is located right on the boundary of Fletcher and Fairview within sight of Asheville. Literally, in this case you have an incredible panoramic view. There's a 2 mile private drive way. The driveway is not steep and can be managed in just about any type of vehicle even in winter. This house is one of 3 on the entire mountain, but you're right in the middle of the Asheville metro area, 10 minutes to Asheville Airport and Sierra Nevada Tap Room.
